We used branded entertainment to create excitement about Think Science Exhibition.
Emirates Foundation launched the Think Science Competition to inspire Emirati youth to design, develop, and build science-based innovations, and to apply science skills in solving practical problems.

To create excitement for the Think Science Exhibition, we conceptualized a series of short videos. These videos featured an absent-minded, comical “Mad Scientist” Professor 7mood bin Stein and his weak-willed, dim-witted Assistant. Our “Mad Scientist” viral videos directed audiences to witness “true” scientific innovation at the Exhibition.

All the videos concluded with the message: Stop watching bad science videos. Go where science really works.

The entertaining videos created a buzz online and engaged with the young target audience. Online ad banners and social media posts on Facebook and Twitter further added publicity to the videos. The objective was to inspire youth to visit the Exhibition where they could witness true scientific innovation.

The low-intensity online campaign worked well within the limited budget and provided entertaining content with the main message.
