KFUPM BRANDING & COMMUNICATION CASE STUDY

Background:

The main objective of the KFUPM Fund is to provide financial sufficiency and sustainability in support of the university’s educational and research programs.

Objective:

The Fund enlisted DaDeDo’s help to establish administrative organization and governance by developing a one-year communication plan for a complete rebrand, including revamping the visual identity, to align with new objectives. The plan included a launch of the new brand through video.

Solution:

We developed a new brand strategy and identity for the Fund. We modernised the logo, highlighting the most recognizable aspect of KFUPM – the University Tower and the hexagon. We created a brand manual and incorporated new branding elements across all communication material.

To introduce the Fund to potential partners, we conceptualized, scripted, and shot an inspirational philosophy film showcasing the Fund's role in facilitating University goals.

Results:

Despite multiple unforeseen delays in the project, the University management was extremely happy with the new identity and the revamped branding materials. The film received high praise from the management who even requested that we create additional versions, which were cut from the original video.
